Job Title: Space Operations Technician

Range Generation Next LLC is seeking a highly skilled Space Operations Technician to join our team at the World's Premier Gateway to Space. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our mission-critical systems that launch and track Department of Defense, civil, commercial, and international space launch rockets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and schedule ALTAIR operations and maintenance activities weekly.
  • Operate the ALTAIR instrumentation to perform various duties, including calibrations, metric tracks, range test operations, and mission support.
  • Interface with other departments to coordinate radar activities.
  • Primary Point of Contact (POC) for the ALTAIR secure area.
  • Primary POC for equipment calibration activities; coordinate with Calibration Lab to send/receive test equipment that requires routine calibration. Maintain equipment calibration database.
  • Perform duties as required of the property custodian for certain property accounts.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance procedures and run system diagnostic software.
  • Provide administrative support to receiver, transmitter, and antenna teams.
  • Assist with voice communications systems, networks, power, and facilities.
  • Support customers by preparing systems for mission execution and operations.
  • Provide occasional weekend coverage for transmitter operations as well as occasional odd shifts (early morning or late night) to support mission requirements.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree or technical school in electronics, IT, or related field, or experience in lieu of education.
  • Two (2) years of technical experience working with technical systems such as avionics, communications, radars, or control systems.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Experience with building and/or terminating cables such as BNC, N type RF cables, semi-rigid coax, Heliax coax, and soldering desired.
  • Working knowledge of MATLAB, MAXIMO, and LINUX computer systems desired.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
  • Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport.
  • This position is unaccompanied and will reside on the island of Roi-Namur.
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support projects or mission requirements.
