Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced accounting professional to independently perform complex, full journey-level accounting duties. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the State's accounting system and financial reporting processes, as well as the ability to analyze and reconcile funding balances and cash balances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently perform and analyze complex accounting duties, including processing accounting transactions, calculating and recognizing advance collections reimbursements, and reconciling funding balances and cash balances.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the State's accounting system and financial reporting processes.
  • Provide expert-level guidance and support to colleagues on accounting-related matters.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting principles, laws, and regulations, and ensure compliance with all relevant requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
