Role Overview:
ChildServe is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-centric Patient Services Representative to oversee scheduling and coordination within our outpatient service divisions.
Benefits:
- This is a full-time position with eligibility for comprehensive health benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Paid time off is provided upfront upon hire and begins accruing immediately.
- A 403B retirement plan is available.
Work Schedule:
- Full-Time, 40 hours per week
- Monday - Thursday: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely schedule information is entered and maintained in the practice management system.
- Perform data entry to support collaboration with the insurance and authorization team as well as the intake team.
- Coordinate with clients and healthcare providers to schedule new and existing appointments, ensuring compliance with physician orders and insurance guidelines.
- Communicate any schedule changes and rescheduling needs to clients and providers effectively.
- Work alongside other services and community resources to arrange specialty services, managing schedules to accommodate provider absences.
- Facilitate the check-in process for new clients and ensure completion of the new patient packet.
- Schedule interpreters as required.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; some college education preferred.
- Preferred: One year of office or administrative experience, particularly in customer service.
- Preferred: Familiarity with adaptive medical equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately amidst frequent interruptions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with coworkers, families, and third parties.
- Proficient in computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office and experience with electronic health record systems.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain positive working relationships and show respect for a diverse population.
- Must uphold confidentiality regarding client and staff information.
- Ability to interpret and adhere to relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- This position may be subject to specific safety requirements.
