Overview of Responsibilities:
  • Deliver outstanding customer service through various communication channels.

  • Maintain comprehensive financial aid records in compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Provide advice to students and their families regarding financial aid options and eligibility criteria.
  • Process incoming verification materials and prepare them for the awarding phase.
  • Evaluate and suggest improvements to the documentation process for information collection.
  • Manage Tuition Assistance paperwork from external organizations and confirm financial aid status.
  • Assist in the administration of Tribal Scholarships.
  • Support document imaging for student records management.
  • Facilitate processes related to Federal Student Loan Programs.
  • Serve as a liaison between departments and external clients to address daily challenges.
  • Participate in outreach initiatives and educational programs to promote financial literacy and awareness of financial aid resources.
  • Report any unusual activities by students concerning their financial aid applications.
  • Communicate with students regarding outstanding documentation necessary for FAFSA completion.
  • Stay updated on federal and state regulations and changes in financial aid policies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of financial aid policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one (1) year of relevant experience in an educational environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
  • Basic proficiency in mathematics and data entry.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic setting.
  • Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 10 lbs. and reach overhead.
  • Comfort with prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of related experience in an educational institution.
