Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscape Manager to join our team at Applied Medical. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and maintenance of our outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Landscape Maintenance Plans: Create and execute comprehensive landscape maintenance plans to ensure the aesthetic and functional quality of our outdoor spaces.
  • Supervise and Manage a Team: Lead and motivate a team of landscapers and groundskeepers to ensure the successful completion of landscaping projects.
  • Coordinate with External Contractors: Collaborate with external contractors to deliver specialized landscaping projects, ensuring timely and budget-friendly execution.
  • Ensure Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with local regulations and environmental standards, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Monitor and Manage Budget: Oversee the landscaping budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Conduct Regular Inspections: Regularly inspect the grounds to identify areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Install and Maintain Irrigation Systems: Oversee the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems, ensuring optimal water usage and efficiency.
  • Plan and Execute Seasonal Activities: Plan and execute seasonal planting and maintenance activities, ensuring the grounds remain visually appealing throughout the year.
  • Maintain Records and Provide Training: Maintain accurate records of landscaping activities and expenses, providing training and development opportunities for landscaping staff.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in landscape management.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of plant care, pest control, and irrigation systems, excellent organizational and project management skills, ability to lead and motivate a team, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in landscape design software.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.

  • Competitive Compensation: Competitive compensation range: $70,000 - $120,000 per year (California).
