Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement programs that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents, including those with Alzheimer's disease and dementia.
- Collaborate with residents to identify their hobbies, interests, and goals, and create personalized plans to support their engagement and participation.
- Plan and coordinate safe and enjoyable trips to local attractions, such as art galleries, theaters, and music venues.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of our monthly calendar, newsletters, and memos to residents.
- Provide support and guidance to residents in their daily lives, promoting independence and autonomy.
- Maintain accurate records of resident interactions, activities, and progress.
Requirements:
- One year's prior experience working with seniors, preferably in an assisted living or long-term care setting.
- At least 6 months of experience in recreation or event leadership, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing circumstances.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
