Job Title: LPN II-CLINIC

Covenant Health (Tennessee) is seeking a skilled LPN II-CLINIC to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.

Job Summary:

The LPN II-CLINIC will work under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider to provide clinical care to patients in an outpatient setting. This includes assessing patient conditions, taking vital signs, and administering medications as ordered. The successful candidate will also be responsible for orienting and training assigned personnel, providing basic patient care, and ensuring test results are received and relayed to patients in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient's general condition and takes vital signs and weight.
  • Assists provider with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
  • Administers patient medications per provider order and policy.
  • Orients, instructs, and trains assigned personnel as applicable.
  • Provides basic patient care as ordered.
  • Ensures test results are received and relayed to patient in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates sensitivity to patient's comfort and privacy by using the AIDET fundamentals of communication.
  • Documents all interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
  • Promotes wellness by providing patient education materials and communicating provider's advice and instructions.
  • Triages patient phone calls and urgency of appointments.
  • Ensures an adequate stock of supplies and well-maintained equipment.
  • Monitors and ensures accuracy of recording on patient medical records.
  • Maintains confidentiality in matters regarding the practice, its patients, and employees.
Requirements:
  • Licensed as an LPN in the state of Tennessee.
  • One (1) year of experience required as an LPN or as a certified Medical Assistant from a recognized certifying organization.
  • Heart Association BLS required.
