Job Overview:
Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital is seeking a dedicated Patient Access Services Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Patient Access Services department, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient scheduling and access to quality care.

About the Role:
This full-time position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in a medical setting or call center environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently using EHRs and other systems
- Verify patient demographics and insurance information to ensure proper billing and coverage
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient use of resources
- Respond promptly to requests from staff, patients, and physicians, and reschedule or cancel appointments as necessary
