We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care Float Pool team at HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital. As a critical care nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in our critical care environments, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of critical care level patients.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Maintain and review patients' records, including posting test results and examination findings.
- Administer medications as ordered by physicians.
- Licensure as a Florida Registered Nurse, with compact licensure accepted if active FL RN license is obtained within 60 days of hire.
- Nursing diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- Previous experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.
- Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
- Current American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification is required within six months of hire.
- Current NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification is required within six months of hire.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills are essential.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
