Surgical Team Lead

At Mass General Brigham, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Team Lead to join our Perioperative Care team at Salem Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead a dynamic team of nurses, surgeons, and support staff in delivering exceptional patient care.
About the RoleThe Surgical Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing daily operations in the operating room, working closely with the Nursing Manager to plan and implement patient care. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, effective communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
This role offers a wide range of surgical specialties, including Orthopedic, General Surgery, Vascular, GYN, Plastics, Urology, Thoracic, and Spine procedures. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of these areas and contribute to the development of clinical standards and improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of nurses and support staff in the operating room
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the Nursing Manager
- Conduct daily rounds to ensure effective patient flow and efficient use of resources
- Participate in the development of clinical standards and improvement initiatives
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant clinical experience
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
