Job Summary:

Anderson Dahlen is seeking a skilled Vacuum Design Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing vacuum systems and chambers for various applications. Your expertise in mechanical design, vacuum technology, and manufacturing processes will be essential in creating innovative solutions that meet our customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop vacuum systems and chambers, including components, process equipment, and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sourcing, quality, and project management, to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Perform engineering calculations to size components and process equipment, ensuring compliance with performance requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, models, and manufacturing drawings.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their requirements and provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in vacuum design and manufacturing, with a focus on high-vacuum applications.
  • Strong knowledge of vacuum technology, including vacuum pumps, leak checking, and residual gas analysis.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM) principles and ASME calculations.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
