Job Overview

Position Summary

The individual in this role is tasked with ensuring that both public and employee areas are kept in a pristine, hygienic, and visually appealing state under the guidance of the Supervisor - EVS.


Key Responsibilities

  • Foster an environment that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati for their entertainment needs; actively engage in building and maintaining guest relationships while mentoring team members to deliver exceptional service.
  • Gather and dispose of waste; clean carpeted surfaces; eliminate gum and stains; vacuum upholstered items; rearrange furniture and equipment post-cleaning.
  • Perform sweeping, dust mopping, and wet mopping of hard surface floors.
  • Dust and clean all surfaces including walls, doors, hardware, gaming equipment, furnishings, glass doors, and display cases.
  • Restock, clean, and sanitize restroom fixtures and surfaces.
  • Collaborate effectively with supervisors and fellow team members, adhering to departmental procedures, schedules, and performance standards.
  • Identify and report maintenance needs for buildings, fixtures, and equipment; document any loss, damage, or safety concerns.
  • Assist in emergency cleaning situations and provide coverage during absences.
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to team discussions.
  • Maintain a consistent and predictable work schedule.
  • Responsible for the cleaning and sanitization of both work and public areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills and abilities typically gained through two months of on-the-job training or relevant janitorial experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must acquire and maintain valid licenses/certifications as mandated by Federal, State, and Virginia Lottery regulations.
  • Successful completion of a background check is required.
  • Must pass a drug screening.
  • Candidate must be at least twenty-one (21) years old.
  • Availability to work on holidays and weekends, including flexible shifts and/or unusual hours is essential.

Knowledge Required:

  • Familiarity with basic hand and power tools and testing equipment.
  • Strong guest service and communication skills.
  • Understanding of janitorial tasks.

Skills Needed:

  • Flexibility to adapt to varying shifts and schedules as necessary.
  • Effective communication with all levels of staff and guests.
  • Ability to review and understand all necessary documentation.
  • Routine handling of potentially hazardous cleaning agents and waste; adherence to safety protocols is mandatory.
  • Regular use of powered cleaning machinery.
