Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent is required.

A combination of coding and reimbursement or medical billing experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, totaling two years is necessary. This includes experience in procedural and diagnosis coding; experience in an academic healthcare environment is preferred. Alternatively, a High School diploma or equivalent is required along with a current coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA, which must be maintained throughout employment.
