Job Overview:

As a vital member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for crafting orthodontic wire appliances according to prescribed specifications and technical guidelines. Your expertise will ensure that each appliance is tailored to fit accurately on both plaster and digitally rendered models. You will leverage your knowledge of various orthodontic appliances, their construction, and operational procedures to deliver high-quality results. Creativity and precision are key components of this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess prescriptions and technical instructions for accuracy and completeness, ensuring models are free from distortions or inaccuracies.
  • Utilize a range of manual and powered tools to shape, cut, and grind wire to meet specific model requirements, with potential soldering or welding tasks as needed.
  • Adhere to established quality assurance protocols, including manufacturing assembly procedures and technical instructions, while maintaining thorough documentation practices.
  • Monitor personal productivity to achieve daily production targets, documenting any downtime for training or meetings.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance as outlined in departmental procedures and participate in daily operational meetings as required.
  • Complete all necessary training for compliance with industry standards and maintain a safe and organized workspace, promptly reporting any safety concerns.

Qualifications:

To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in all essential duties. The following qualifications are necessary:

Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with three to five years of relevant experience or training, or a combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety guidelines, and operational instructions. Effective communication skills are essential for collaboration within the team.

Mathematical Skills:
Competence in basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of standard measurements.

Reasoning Skills:
Ability to apply logical reasoning to follow detailed instructions and resolve issues involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
