Program Supervisor – Overview

Classification: Non-exempt Hourly

Salary Grade/Level/Family/Range: $19.00/hour (80 hours a week)

Reports to: Residential Coordinator

Position Summary

The Program Supervisor is responsible for providing direction and support to the team engaged in service delivery. This role emphasizes direct care responsibilities while ensuring high-quality support for individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, adaptability, and a commitment to teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  2. Communication Skills: Engage in clear and respectful verbal and written communication with all stakeholders, ensuring that interactions are tailored to the preferences of the individuals served.
  3. Organizational Skills: Prioritize and manage daily tasks efficiently, including report preparation, data collection, and appointment scheduling.
  4. Nutritional Oversight: Ensure the nutritional needs of individuals are met by developing and implementing meal plans, including special dietary requirements.
  5. Habilitation Support: Collaborate in creating and executing habilitation plans and behavior intervention strategies that align with individual needs.
  6. Environmental Management: Maintain a clean and safe living environment in compliance with relevant regulations, ensuring the property is well-kept and secure.
  7. Health & Safety: Implement health and safety protocols to protect all individuals, staff, and visitors, promoting a culture of safety.
  8. Financial Management: Assist in overseeing the financial operations of the program, including budget adherence and expenditure tracking.
  9. Team Development: Foster a collaborative team environment through effective leadership and support, encouraging staff accountability and quality work.
  10. Training and Development: Ensure staff receive appropriate training and orientation, staying updated on best practices and regulatory changes.
  11. Compliance: Support adherence to organizational policies and relevant regulations, ensuring all documentation is maintained accurately.
  12. Documentation: Assist in maintaining accurate records, including meeting minutes and individual care documentation.
  13. Vehicle Management: Maintain a valid driving record and ensure staff are trained in safe driving practices.
  14. Scheduling: Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage while considering individual needs.
  15. Additional Responsibilities: Participate in committees or projects as needed, contributing to the overall mission of the organization.

Supervisory Role

This position supervises all direct support staff within the program.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this role include regular communication, standing, walking, and the ability to lift items up to 40 pounds.

Work Schedule

This is an hourly position requiring 40+ hours per week.

Travel Requirements

Minimal travel is expected, with reimbursement provided for mileage.

Education and Experience Requirements

  1. High School Diploma
  2. Minimum of 2 years experience with individuals with developmental disabilities
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  4. Current certification as a Direct Support Professional
  5. Current Adult First Aid/CPR Certification
  6. Current CRMA License
  7. Current Safety Care Certification

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience with KEPRO and EIS
  2. Multi-lingual abilities (French, Somali, Portuguese, Swahili preferred)

Additional Requirements

Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Work Authorization

Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
