Position Overview
This is a Title 32 Excepted Service position within the Army National Guard Units.

Role Summary:
The selected candidate will serve as a GS Aircraft Flight Instructor, responsible for delivering comprehensive flight training and instruction tailored to the needs of rated pilots and instructor pilots. This role requires a commitment to excellence in aviation training and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute flight training programs for pilots, ensuring adherence to individual training requirements.
2. Conduct evaluations and assessments of pilots' skills in operating aircraft, utilizing advanced instrument flight techniques.
3. Provide instruction on the operation of advanced attack helicopters and heavy multi-engine transport helicopters.
4. Lead training flights that involve complex maneuvers and emergency procedures, ensuring pilots are well-prepared for various scenarios.
5. Facilitate refresher and continuation training for pilots in both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft.
6. Prepare and deliver classroom instruction related to aviation operations and safety protocols.
7. Advise on aviation safety matters and contribute to the development of accident prevention plans.

Qualifications:
Military Requirements:
Must possess a compatible military grade and assignment prior to placement. Membership in the National Guard is required for this position.

General Experience:
Must be a rated pilot with a minimum of one year of relevant experience, demonstrating a solid understanding of aviation principles and practices.

Specialized Experience:
Two years of specialized experience in piloting and instructing on main-frame military aircraft is required. This includes providing instruction and evaluation of pilots in various flying techniques and demonstrating competencies in mission planning and execution.
