Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional patient care and support, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examination, and assisting with medical procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records, including documentation of medical history, allergies, and current medications.
- Assist with scheduling tests and treatment, pre-certifying patients for hospital care and/or procedures, and processing referrals to other providers.
- Support the healthcare team by preparing exam rooms, maintaining clinical supplies and equipment, and ensuring a safe and clean environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant training program or certification preferred.
- At least 10 months' work and/or clinical training experience in the healthcare field.
- Ability to work well under pressure, multitask, and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to confidentiality and respect.
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems and other medical software.
