Medical Assistant

As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our healthcare team. Your key responsibilities will include assisting doctors with procedures, preparing patients for injections, and maintaining patient confidence and trust.
Additionally, you will be responsible for entering EPIC orders to obtain insurance authorizations for tests, physical therapy, and durable medical equipment. You will also be proficient in utilizing EPIC for tasks such as ordering, changing providers, making appointments, and checking patients out.
Other key responsibilities include reviewing patient charts for completion, reviewing MD schedules to determine patient flow, and working closely with secretarial counterparts to address chart/scheduling issues. You will also be responsible for maintaining sterile instruments and proper use of autoclave, cleaning and restocking patient rooms, and acting as a liaison between patients, physicians, office staff, and outside contacts.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of an approved Medical Assistant or Medical Office Assistant program
- One year experience directly related to the medical field
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Work Days:
M-F 8 am - 5pm (may change based on Provider assignment)
