Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain the mission of St. Joseph's Physicians, delivering quality, accessible healthcare with compassion and service excellence.
  • Perform administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a physician or other healthcare provider.
  • Organize and maintain patient medical records and equipment.
  • Accurately document patient information within medical records.
  • Conduct pre-visit planning, reviewing patient charts, test results, and correspondence.
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment, taking vital signs and recording medical history.
  • Provide timely communication with patients, making inquiries and executing follow-up tasks.
  • Assist with scheduling tests and treatment, pre-certifying patients for hospital care and procedures.
  • Support providers and nurses with medical and office procedures, including blood draws and minor procedures.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and neat environment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • At least 1 year of work and/or clinical training experience in the healthcare field.
  • National Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, CCMA, RMA).
  • Proficient in obtaining manual vital signs and using electronic health record systems.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and respect.
  • Ability to obtain and record patient data, including prior health history, family history, allergies, and current medications.
Working Conditions

This role requires light work, with standing, walking, sitting, bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching. Some lifting is required. The role also involves exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue.

Pay and Benefits

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education, with a pay range of $18.50 - $26.85. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
