Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Field Service Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing maintenance on retail security products and equipment at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and service retail security products and equipment at customer sites
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of security systems and equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, including products serviced, work performed, hours and parts utilized
  • Manage and maintain an accurate parts inventory at customer sites
  • Provide training and support to customers on the use of their security equipment
  • Communicate with customers and management to ensure customer satisfaction and identify potential sales opportunities
  • Perform other tasks as needed to support the service team

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Electronics and/or Networking, or career equivalent required
  • General knowledge of electronics and networking fundamentals
  • Strong understanding of security systems and equipment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and basic PC skills
  • Highly organized and able to work independently
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs
  • Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders and working in confined spaces
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to complete all required training and certifications
  • Ability to travel and work overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Networking certification
  • 3 years or more work experience installing or servicing IP cameras and DVR/NVR systems
  • Highly adaptive to industry changes and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Ability to pass a background and drug screening
