Job Summary

The Innovation Center Manager is responsible for delivering a world-class experience for customers seeking to create innovative packaging solutions. This role requires a strong technical background and excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute customer visit schedules in collaboration with the Customer Experience Manager.
  2. Lead the technical development of customer projects, ensuring high-quality results from conception to execution.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams to design and construct customer prototypes.
  4. Manage Innovation Center technicians to deliver professional equipment demonstrations that showcase the Multivac value proposition.
  5. Coordinate resources and supplies to ensure high-quality equipment demonstrations.
  6. Establish and maintain Innovation Center processes and communication standards.
  7. Develop and manage technical documentation protocols.
  8. Identify opportunities for improvement in customer experience and implement changes.
  9. Ensure equipment safety protocols are followed and the Innovation Center is operational at all times.
  10. Document project development and technical details for all activities within C4C.
  11. Provide subject matter expertise to support business activities, such as in-house Factory Acceptance Tests.
  12. Maintain a clean, organized, and functional sample making facility, processing room, equipment showroom, and storage area.
  13. Coordinate logistics for film and sample products needed for sample package testing.
  14. Stay up-to-date with packaging industry trends and developments.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Five years of technical experience in the packaging industry.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and write technical documents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport for travel.
Work Environment

The work environment is dynamic, with frequent exposure to work near moving mechanical parts. The associate will occasionally be exposed to wet or humid conditions, cold temperatures, and heat. The noise level can be loud at times.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
