Supply Chain Safety and Asset Management Specialist

Key Responsibilities:


Collaborate with the Supply Chain leadership team to enhance visibility and accountability regarding safety, environmental, and asset protection initiatives, fostering a culture of health and safety across the facility.

Conduct regular audits, inspections, and walkthroughs of designated facilities to ensure compliance with company standards and local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT.

Oversee third-party security services and establish performance expectations for all locations under your purview, including the management of asset protection technologies (CCTV, alarm systems, etc.).

Ensure the effective implementation of Lowe's security protocols, including adherence to staffing guidelines, policies, and procedures, while fulfilling all designated program requirements.

Direct efforts in safety, shrink reduction training, investigations, and environmental health for assigned locations.

Support and collaborate with facility leadership to optimize operational activities, enhancing the use of equipment, facilities, and personnel to minimize risk exposure in assigned areas.

Manage internal incident reporting, conduct reviews, and perform root cause analyses to implement sustainable solutions that prevent future losses.

Act as the primary liaison for all regulatory inquiries on behalf of the company, addressing matters related to OSHA, EPA, Fire Authorities, and more for all assigned locations.

Analyze incident trends and workers' compensation claims, conducting thorough root cause analyses.

Lead projects aimed at enhancing programs across the entire supply chain organization within the specified areas (Safety & Environmental, Shrink, Investigations, Support, and New Business).

Engage in peer work teams to develop strategies and programs that mitigate risk throughout the Lowe's Supply Chain.

Create training materials for emergency management, crisis response, safety and environmental protocols, asset protection, and new hire orientation. Instruct trainers to deliver content and occasionally lead training sessions.

Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with all applicable regulations.

Conduct regular audits, inspections, and walkthroughs of Supply Chain facilities to verify adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements, assisting facility management in developing action plans to address any deficiencies.

Participate in the design planning process for new equipment additions or modifications to existing equipment and processes, aiming to reduce injury risks and regulatory exposure.

Identify potential internal theft opportunities and investigate cases within these areas, implementing corrective actions and training as necessary.

Provide leadership and coordination for ongoing internal theft investigations, conducting interviews in Supply Chain facilities and reviewing all cases prior to submission to the Corporate Investigations team.

Establish a framework governing the availability, approval, reporting, and continuity of safety and shrink data.

Offer ongoing consultation and guidance during the setup or conversion phases of new buildings, ensuring the implementation and enforcement of safety and shrink processes and programs.


Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Safety Science, Industrial Health, Risk Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
5 years of experience in retail safety (Distribution or retail environments).

Preferred Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience with a mass retailer or multi-location employer.
1-2 years of experience in warehouse or distribution center settings.
CSP, ASP, WSO, ARM Certification.
OSHA 10 or 30 Hour Certification.

Compensation:
Annual salary range of $93,000 to $155,700.00.


Starting pay may vary based on factors such as position, location, education, training, and experience.
