Position Overview: The Animal Care Specialist plays a vital role within our facility, reporting directly to the General Manager. This role requires a genuine passion for animal care and a commitment to providing outstanding service.

A Day in the Life: As an Animal Care Specialist, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team focused on the daily care of our guests. Your responsibilities will include walking dogs, providing potty breaks, feeding, administering medications, cleaning accommodations, and engaging in playtime. Each day will present new opportunities to create a welcoming environment for our overnight guests and to facilitate enjoyable interactions during daycare sessions. You will document your observations and communicate effectively with both your team and pet owners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide respectful and dignified care to all pets.
  • Ensure that each guest receives adequate food and water, maintaining cleanliness of feeding areas.
  • Conduct regular clean-up of pet waste and maintain sanitary conditions throughout the facility.
  • Engage pets in various play activities, ensuring their safety and enjoyment.
  • Supervise multiple pets, monitoring interactions and addressing any potential conflicts.
  • Maintain a clean and healthy environment by adhering to cleaning protocols.
  • Document pet health and behavior, reporting any concerns to management promptly.
  • Operate laundry facilities to clean pet bedding and belongings.
  • Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness and safety of the property.
  • Communicate effectively with clients about their pets' needs and experiences.
