Shift Details: This is a full-time role (30+ hours/week) with a consistent schedule that includes some evening and rotating Saturday shifts. *Saturday rotation is mandatory.

Compensation: $17.00/hour, commensurate with experience.

Job Summary: The Veterinary Client Care Specialist is responsible for guiding clients from check-in to check-out, documenting medical notes, formulating treatment plans, coordinating care with technical teams, and conducting follow-ups post-visit.

Essential Functions:

  • Uphold the Core Values and Mission Statement of Metropolitan Veterinary Center.
  • Prepare clients for appointments by reaching out to set expectations, address questions, and request necessary actions.
  • Warmly greet clients upon arrival and escort them to the examination room.
  • Accurately record medical information provided by veterinarians during patient examinations and ensure records are updated with diagnostic results as needed.
  • Develop, present, and clarify treatment plans in line with veterinarian directives.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to ensure the veterinarian's treatment plan is executed effectively.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and future wellness visits.
  • Facilitate the fulfillment of required prescriptions, providing explanations to clients and coordinating delivery when necessary.
  • Clearly communicate discharge instructions and address client questions.
  • Manage client checkouts and process payments in the examination room.
  • Conduct post-visit follow-ups to check on the well-being of pets and relay any diagnostic, lab, or test results.

Additional Functions:

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
