Position Overview:
As a Refrigeration Fleet Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet's refrigeration systems. Our technicians earn competitive hourly wages ranging from $25 to $35, with additional compensation based on experience and certifications. Furthermore, our team members benefit from shop bonuses, uniform and tool allowances, and ongoing training opportunities.

Work Schedule:
Our technicians typically work a night shift from Sunday to Thursday, approximately from 5 PM to 1:30 AM.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Refrigeration Fleet Technician, your primary duties will include:

  • Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining fleet road equipment, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant state and federal trucking regulations.
  • Documenting and maintaining accurate maintenance logs using the MAXIMO Fleet Maintenance System.
  • Performing road rescue as needed.
  • Completing preventative maintenance in accordance with company standards.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Assisting with inventory management and recordkeeping.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid Class-A CDL license and DOT certification is preferred.
  • At least three years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic or in refrigeration.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Candidates should demonstrate:

  • Compliance with EPA, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding technical manuals.
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork capabilities.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules, including nights and weekends.
