Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Trailer Mechanic/Technician in Saint Peters, MO The Trailer Mechanic/Technician will be responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of heavy duty diesel fleet trailers. Comprehension of air brakes, wheel seals, doors, floors, side panels, electrical and DOT inspections are needed when conducting PMs and minor repairs on company fleet vehicles. Computer competency is needed as well to manage part purchasing and work orders. Welding experience is a plus

What the Trailer Mechanic/Technician role looks like:
- Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to vehicles
- Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles
- Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
- Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare required safety documentation
What our ideal candidate looks like: At least 3 years’ experience as an Trailer Mechanic/Technician performing vehicle repair and maintenance or must possess auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly
- Excellent communication skills and proficient computer skills
- Must have own tools
- Must have valid driver's license
