Job Title - EHS Manager

Overview:

The EHS Manager plays a pivotal role in steering the strategic safety initiatives and programs across various facilities. This position is crucial for ensuring that the organization adheres to all relevant environmental and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and oversight of comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations.
  • Conduct evaluations of organizational procedures, facilities, and equipment to identify areas for safety enhancements.
  • Oversee all aspects of environmental permitting and manage the Hazardous Waste program.
  • Execute internal audits and maintain familiarity with Corrective Action/Preventive Action Program (CAPA) for tracking safety improvements.
  • Participate in and lead incident investigations, determining root causes and formulating action plans to mitigate future occurrences.
  • Research and recommend safety equipment purchases to enhance workplace safety.
  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and provide guidance to implement recommendations effectively.
  • Maintain comprehensive safety and accident records, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Stay updated on OSHA regulations and ensure organizational compliance.
  • Develop and facilitate training programs for employees on safety and security policies, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations.
  • Manage Worker's Compensation cases and maintain OSHA 300 logs.
  • Engage in OSHA inspections, providing necessary documentation and demonstrating safety measures in place.
  • Prepare budgets and manage expenses related to environmental and safety services and supplies.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree with over 8 years of relevant experience in the field or an Associate's degree with 10+ years of progressive experience is required. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or GMP environment is essential. Certification in EHS programs and practices is mandatory. Familiarity with CAPA for tracking remediation of safety inspection findings is necessary. Radiation Safety Certification/Training is a plus.
