Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team at AirBorn Inc. as a key member of our manufacturing operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining, developing, and implementing new manufacturing processes, as well as improving existing ones, to ensure high levels of manufacturing and product quality while maintaining cost-efficiency and conformance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and lead continuous improvement projects to drive process excellence and efficiency.
  • Ensure Total Effective Manufacturing Cell readiness for new product/new process introductions, including PFMEA, FLOW, STANDARD, ROUTING, and SAFETY.
  • Develop and communicate project updates/progress to leadership in a clear and concise manner, demonstrating measurable improvements.
  • Apply DMAIC Process and A3 Problem Solving – Closed Loop methodologies to drive process improvements.
  • Define, lead, and complete Kaizen events based on analysis of cell KPIs.
  • Ensure sustainability of improved processes through continued evaluation and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cell operators, engineering teams, and management to address project needs, status, and implementation.
  • Develop and write effective electronic and manual work instructions.
  • Design, develop, and implement new and existing manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain CAPEX plans for current and future manufacturing process needs.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles, including VSM, setup reduction, flow improvement, and waste elimination.
  • Effectively implement and validate new equipment and processes, developing equipment and process validation plans.
  • Continuously identify, troubleshoot, and resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Provide technical guidance and support.
  • Analyze production trends to develop improvement plans.
Requirements
  • Completion of a four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Three plus years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical writing and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor the message to the audience.
  • Lean Methodologies and Six Sigma knowledge.
  • Digital Factory connectivity.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to write articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Effective presentation skills, with the ability to present information to top management.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts, such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Self-motivated and effective time management skills.
  • Project management experience.
