Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Security Officer to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall security of our properties and personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building Security:
    • Implement and maintain building security measures to prevent unauthorized access and ensure the safety of our employees and customers.
    • Conduct regular security patrols to identify and address potential security threats.
    • Respond to alarms and dispatched calls, and take appropriate action to resolve the situation.
    • Responsible for the badge access control system, including temporary badge processes, visitor processing, and deactivation and collection of terminated badges.
    • Conduct monthly burglar alarm tests to ensure system functionality.
  • Building Safety:
    • Conduct regular safety inspections to identify potential hazards and take corrective action to mitigate risks.
    • Participate in emergency response training and drills to ensure preparedness in the event of an emergency.
    • Respond to emergencies and coordinate with emergency services as needed.
  • Merchandise/Inventory Protection:
    • Enforce control of vendor samples and field test policies to prevent theft and loss.
    • Investigate and respond to instances of internal and external theft.
    • Assist in the implementation of surveillance tools to enhance the investigative process.
  • General Functions:
    • Engage with employees to promote a safe and friendly work environment.
    • Assist employees with safety needs, such as jumpstarts and parking lot escorting.
    • Provide a smooth and pleasant check-in process for visitors.
    • Partner with Human Resources to provide escorts for departing employees.
    • Assist with crisis management functions as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in physical security and safety
