**Job Title:** Early Head Start Disabilities Coordinator

**Job Summary:**

The Clinton Hill Community & Early Childhood Center is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Head Start Disabilities Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the developmental progress of infants and toddlers with disabilities or developmental delays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration with Families: Work closely with families to identify children with disabilities or developmental delays and facilitate assessments.
  • Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs): Develop, implement, and monitor IFSPs for children with disabilities.
  • Staff Training and Support: Provide guidance and training to staff on best practices for working with children with diverse needs.
  • Community Partnerships: Coordinate with community agencies and service providers to ensure comprehensive support services are available.
  • Training and Professional Development: Conduct regular training sessions for educators on inclusive teaching strategies and disability awareness.
  • Compliance and Record-Keeping: Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations concerning early childhood education and special education services, and maintain accurate records of assessments, meetings, services provided, and outcomes for children with disabilities.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
  • Experience: Experience working with preschool-aged children with disabilities.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of early intervention strategies and special education laws, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people, including parents and educators, strong organizational and time-management skills, and ability to conduct assessments and interpret results effectively.
