Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Installation Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a Fire Alarm Installation Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems in various settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems, including conventional and addressable systems, access control systems, CCTV systems, intrusion systems, and nurse call systems.
  • Perform physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and working within ducts and crawl spaces.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operation/product manuals.
  • Perform inspections and installation activities on electronic fire systems.
  • Work overtime and overnight shifts as required during busy project schedules.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer interaction skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs, unaided by management
  • Self-starter with minimal supervision required
  • Pass criminal background check and drug test
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company requirements
  • Ability to obtain and retain any licenses required by National, State, and Local codes
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three (3) years of experience in Fire Alarm or Integrated Security Systems maintenance
  • Low voltage electrical installation experience
  • IT and Networking experience
