Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Specialist to join our team at UCP-Personnel Services. As a Flooring Specialist, you will be responsible for installing new flooring and removing old flooring to meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet with clients to assess their flooring needs and provide quotes.
  • Lay out flooring samples for client selection and measure rooms to create specifications.
  • Order stock from the warehouse and arrange installation days with clients.
  • Remove old flooring and roll out, measure, and cut new flooring to size.
  • Glue or staple flooring to the floor, stairs, or wall and finish edges with a wall trimmer.
  • Move furniture as needed and take care not to soil or damage it.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous work experience as a Flooring Specialist.
  • Good analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work standing, kneeling, and crouching for extended periods.
  • Detail-oriented.
