About Allied Reliability

We are seeking an experienced Senior Midstream Equipment Specialist to join our team in the Minot, ND area.

Job Summary

The Senior Midstream Equipment Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and repairing midstream equipment, including gas compressors, air compressors, pumps, IC engines, and other related systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in the oilfield industry and a strong understanding of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Midstream Equipment Specialist will be responsible for:

  1. Maintaining and repairing midstream equipment, including gas compressors, air compressors, pumps, IC engines, and other related systems.
  2. Inspecting equipment for signs of vibration damage, leaks, unusual noise, excessive wear, damage from foreign objects in fluid, and corrosion damage.
  3. Completing preventative and predictive maintenance per PM schedule on midstream equipment.
  4. Troubleshooting performance issues on midstream equipment.
  5. Maintaining and inspecting pumps, compressors, gas engines, electric drivers, and steam drivers.
  6. Repairing and/or replacing compressor valves.
  7. Completing alignment activities on pumps and compressors.
  8. Replacing packing on positive displacement pumps.
  9. Replacing lube oil and air filters.
  10. Completing overhauls on equipment per manufacturer recommendations on hourly usage.
  11. Completing pump repairs, including replacing mechanical seals, packing, seals, gaskets, bearings, inspecting vanes, alignment, and inspecting clearances.
  12. Completing vibration monitoring of plant equipment, including compressors and pumps.
  13. Completing bearing inspections, repair or replace valves and packing, and checking alignment.
  14. Completing equipment history reviews analyzing for trends and repairs.
  15. Completing lubrication sampling, analysis, and proper reporting to reliability program contacts.
  16. Completing condenser fan inspections, inspecting/repairing/replacing fan bearings, vibration monitoring, and inspecting the condition of belts.
  17. Greasing, inspecting, and replacing bearings of electric motors.
  18. Conducting and/or participating in defect elimination meetings.
  19. Demonstrating basic computer skills, including efficient management of email and calendars.
  20. Demonstrating competency to read and interpret P&IDs, PFDs, schematics, blueprints, and isometric drawings.
  21. Skilled in gas processing, terminology, and concepts relevant to work activities.
  22. Comprehensive knowledge of key process equipment operation, components, and related concepts.
  23. Comprehensive understanding of valve and piping construction, pressure ratings, and piping specifications applicable to the job role.
  24. Comprehensive knowledge of plant processes and terminology.
  25. Skilled at executing safe work practices.
  26. Skilled at coaching others on safe work activities during daily meetings and on location.
  27. Demonstrating appropriate tool selection, use, and care.
  28. Instructing others on correct tool selection, use, and care.
  29. Demonstrating ability to set new equipment, including pumps, filters, filter housings, compressors, and process equipment.
  30. Demonstrating ability to purge facility pipe, pumps, compressors, and other process equipment.
  31. Demonstrating competency when installing and removing blinds.
  32. Demonstrating competency to complete and submit all permits tied to work activities to the appropriate EHS representative.
  33. Demonstrating competency to complete assigned work orders, including clear long text and TECO.
  34. Comprehensive knowledge and skilled execution of mechanical work activities, including bolt-up procedures, line of fire, and energy isolation.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Industrial/Oilfield experience.
  2. 3+ years of mechanical experience on reciprocating and centrifugal gas compressors, internal combustion engines, and pumps.
  3. Appropriate certifications.
  4. Good communication skills.
  5. Knowledge of safety requirements and practices.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
