Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at CityVet - Edmond. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining excellent patient care and operational productivity by assisting veterinarians with technical work and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians with patient preparation, monitoring, and restraint during exams and surgeries
- Obtain and test samples for diagnostic purposes
- Administer medications and vaccines as prescribed by veterinarians
- Communicate effectively with clients to obtain medical information and provide instructions on animal care
- Collaborate with the Client Service Specialist team to ensure seamless client experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- 1 year of veterinary industry experience
- Ability to restrain animals safely and properly
- Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and medication
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and perform frequent standing, bending, and walking
