Job Summary:

As a Dental Assistant at Variety Care, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to assist our dentists in delivering top-notch dental care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepares patients for dental treatment, explaining treatment plans and ensuring their comfort and understanding.
• Arranges dental instruments and materials, maintaining a clean and organized operatory environment.
• Performs Four-Handed Dentistry in coordination with our dentists, ensuring seamless and efficient care.
• Sterilizes and cleans instruments, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
• Takes digital X-Rays and maintains dental and office equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Maintains a clean and aseptic operatory and lab environment, adhering to OSHA standards.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; dental assistant permit from the Board of Dentistry within 30 days of employment.
• Basic organizational skills and experience working with confidential information.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds, assist patients in and out of the dental chair, and remain on feet for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) and/or experience working in a multi-faceted, fast-paced environment.
• Expanded functions certification in Radiation Safety and Protection, Coronal Polishing, Nitrous Oxide Application, or Sealant Application.
