Job Summary:

The Patient Care Director oversees the entire hospital operation during administrative absences. Responsibilities include performance oversight, schedule management, education, and coaching when necessary. This role requires a thorough understanding of nursing knowledge, including assessments, treatment planning, discharge procedures, medication distribution, and medical care.

Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years old
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program
  • Current unencumbered nursing license
  • CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPT) within 30 days of employment
  • May require flexible hours and overtime

Preferred Experience:

Previous experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility, particularly with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients is preferred. Direct experience with patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning, and communication with external review organizations is also desirable.
