Corporate Litigation Counsel

D. French Advisors is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Litigation Counsel to join their team. As a key member of the legal department, this individual will provide expert legal counsel and guidance to the company's senior officials on a wide range of complex business and legal issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee litigation and arbitration matters, both internally and with external counsel.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and guidance on personnel law, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, as well as laws related to contracts, UCCs, the SEC, and other regulatory matters.
  • Conduct thorough research, analysis, and interpretation of complex legal issues, and prepare written and oral opinions.
  • Review and negotiate contracts and other legal documents, and recommend revisions as necessary.
  • Represent the company in judicial and administrative proceedings, and in negotiations with other parties.
  • Select and retain external counsel as needed to obtain legal opinions or handle claims and litigation.
  • Supervise the work of other attorneys, paralegals, and external counsel, and consult on sensitive or complex issues.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of litigation experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Business preferred.
  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Ability to provide expert legal advice and counsel to senior officials on complex business and legal issues.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex legal issues, and prepare written and oral opinions.
  • Knowledge of current and developing legal issues and trends in the area of expertise.
  • Ability to supervise and coordinate the work of legal professionals, paraprofessionals, and consultants.
  • Knowledge of financial/business analysis techniques.
