About the Role

At CVS Health, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and improving health outcomes. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in leading our pharmacy team and ensuring the highest level of service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Safety: Ensure the safe and effective use of medications, and identify potential safety risks to patients.
  • Pharmacy Professional Practice: Develop and implement clinical programs to improve patient outcomes, and stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy practices and regulations.
  • Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and improve the quality of our pharmacy services, and identify areas for process improvement.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to our patients and customers, and respond to their needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Personnel Management: Lead and develop our pharmacy team, and ensure they have the necessary skills and training to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Manage our pharmacy inventory, including ordering and stocking medications, and ensuring that we have the necessary supplies to meet patient needs.
  • Financial Profitability: Contribute to the financial success of our pharmacy, and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Loss Prevention: Identify and mitigate potential losses, and ensure that our pharmacy is secure and free from theft.
  • Workflow Management: Develop and implement efficient workflows to ensure that our pharmacy runs smoothly and effectively.
Requirements
  • Active Pharmacy License: Must have an active pharmacy license in the state in which you are employed.
  • Immunization Certification: Must have immunization certification through an accredited organization.
  • Background Check: Must pass a background check, including a review of your DEA registration and any other relevant licenses.
  • Education: A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree is preferred.
