Position Overview:

The Reservoir Engineer role is pivotal in executing scientific, technical, and economic assessments of reservoirs to evaluate forecast and reserve implications, ensuring production operations align with corporate objectives.

Conduct comprehensive scientific and technical evaluations of reservoirs, which include analyzing production data, generating type curves, calculating hydrocarbon in-place volumes, and performing well test analyses alongside analytical reservoir modeling.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute Production Data Analysis to estimate reserves and critical performance indicators of the reservoir. Develop analytical models and project production trajectories. Conduct reservoir surveillance to recommend enhancements for completion and stimulation designs, production rates, and reserve optimization.
  • Project production outputs, evaluate reserves, and analyze the economic viability of drilling and workover proposals. Provide data insights on well performance and strategies for depletion management.
  • Compile and analyze data for mid-year and year-end reserves reports, including various well data, production statistics, and budget forecasts, while performing fundamental economic assessments.
  • Assist in the execution of well test analyses, focusing on well performance and permeability evaluations.
  • Contribute to corporate long-range planning by providing necessary production and economic data analyses, including capital allocation requirements and reserve evaluations.
  • Aid in the formulation of production forecasts and reserve estimates pertinent to acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Offer support to the exploration team in evaluating new opportunities.
  • Participate in the preparation of annual reserve reports, quarterly updates, budgeting, and long-term strategic planning by compiling well data, production statistics, capital expenditure forecasts, and conducting economic analyses.
  • Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Mathematics; Petroleum Engineering is preferred.

Minimum Experience: 2 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 0 years of experience with a Master’s degree.
