We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Architecture Engineer to join our team at Western Digital. As a key member of our System Architecture team, you will be responsible for designing and developing next-generation SSD performance and endurance solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, low-latency SSD solutions
  • Develop and maintain complex system models and simulations to evaluate tradeoffs and optimize SSD performance
  • Work closely with ASIC, Firmware, Hardware, and System Design teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of SSD solutions
  • Contribute to the development of innovative SSD features and technologies
  • Participate in technical discussions and provide expert advice on SSD architecture and design
Requirements
  • BS in Computer Science or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in RT/embedded systems
  • At least 3 years of experience in building firmware for Solid State Drives
  • Experience with scripting automation using Python
  • Strong understanding of SSD architecture, firmware, and ASIC design
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
