Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Artificial Intelligence (AI) team at Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining AI infrastructure solutions that accelerate next-generation computing experiences.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, hardware architectures, compilers, dataflow analysis, and AI/ML. You will be expected to lead efforts to build automation infrastructure for AI board regression, build CI/CD for AI products, and provide ongoing technical guidance and direction for scalable infrastructure demands.

Additionally, you will collaborate across organizational boundaries and multiple geographies, plan, manage, troubleshoot, and deploy client/server-based applications, and automate workflow using Python, Jenkins, GIT, BASH, Ansible, and third-party APIs.

We are looking for a self-sufficient individual who can effectively articulate technical concepts to relevant stakeholders and execute independently to develop mock-ups or requirement prototypes for features of moderate to high complexity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead effort to build automation infrastructure for AI board regression
  • Build CI/CD for AI products
  • Provide ongoing technical guidance and direction for scalable infrastructure demands
  • Collaborate across organizational boundaries and multiple geographies
  • Plan, manage, troubleshoot, and deploy client/server-based applications
  • Automate workflow using Python, Jenkins, GIT, BASH, Ansible, and third-party APIs

Preferred Experience:

  • Extensive experience in the Shell and Python programming languages
  • Very good understanding of laptop motherboard architecture, PCIe concepts, boot sequence, and system administration
  • Fully self-sufficient in software development concepts and methods, coding, and debugging
  • Proactively engages with users to identify and deliver against new automation opportunities
  • Proactively identifies and delivers solutions that reduce development and support costs
  • Executes independently to develop mock-ups or requirement prototypes for features of moderate to high complexity
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
  • Team player with ability to work across a geographically diverse team

Academic Credentials:

  • Bachelor's or Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
