Position Overview:

KDM Engineering is seeking a proactive and motivated individual to lead our expanding Substation division. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about developing a team and driving business growth. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and coordinate engineering teams to ensure project success.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Design substation protection and control systems, including panel layouts and schematics.
  • Manage physical design aspects of substations, including layout plans and grounding systems.
  • Conduct quality reviews of engineering designs.
  • Prepare specifications for equipment and provide client support during construction phases.
  • Perform field inspections and ensure compliance with project standards.
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
  • Establish effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for project proposals and presentations.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure client satisfaction and adherence to quality guidelines.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • At least 10 years of experience in transmission and substation engineering, with a minimum of 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
