Job Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Specialist for a first shift position. This role involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the highest quality standards in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of a diverse range of components, accommodating various sizes and specifications.
  • Oversee incoming inspections, confirming purchase orders, raw materials, and compliance with required specifications for each component.
  • Perform final inspections of completed products prior to their release from the facility, acting as the ultimate authority on product quality.
  • Engage in in-process inspections of materials produced internally before they are assembled or shipped.
  • Examine items ranging from minute fibers to intricate products like sensors and other specialized applications.
  • Authorize the final release of products and verify all necessary documentation, including certificates, waivers, and records of conformity or nonconformity.
  • Utilize JDE and an ETQ quality database for accurate data entry and review all standard operating procedures (SOPs) relevant to each product line.
  • Assist with internal audits as required, providing necessary documentation and findings.
  • Maintain comprehensive quality records for all product lines.
  • Manage the handling of returned products, including return merchandise authorizations (RMAs).
  • Oversee Material Review Board (MRB) files and other recordable items.
  • Work under microscopes and with very small components for the majority of the day.
  • Employ mechanical micrometers, calipers, and gauges on a daily basis.
  • Operate within AS and ISO certified environments.
QualificationsHard Skills
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in the use of micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Soft Skills
  • Ability to effectively manage interactions with challenging personalities.

This is a permanent, full-time position.

Work Environment

The work environment is clean, quiet, well-lit, and organized. The Quality Assurance Specialist will collaborate closely with another inspector and a quality supervisor in a small inspection area.
