Quality Engineer

At Kamatics Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our Quality team at our Bloomfield, CT facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, conducting, and monitoring a wide range of activities related to our quality control systems, processes, and procedures.


This role will play a critical part in ensuring the organization's compliance with quality, customer, and regulatory bodies' evolving needs. The Quality Engineer will work closely with suppliers to ensure they are meeting our quality standards and will also serve as a key point of contact for internal customers and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control and assurance, with experience in investigating data, identifying process weaknesses, and developing solutions to improve the system. They will also be responsible for updating work instructions, providing training to operators and inspectors, and maintaining and improving processes through routine auditing and data collection.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Quality Engineer will also be expected to develop new QC systems, audits, and strategies, and to help forecast upcoming industry trends. Knowledge of AS9102, AS9100, and Prime customer QC standards is strongly preferred but not required.

The successful candidate will be a key contributor to our corrective action processes, both tracking results and coordinating meetings. They will also be responsible for monitoring key process parameters, such as rework and scrap, to isolate problem areas and correct the potential for escapes and waste prior to it happening.

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. The ability to work well in a team environment and to work independently when required is essential.

Qualifications:


Education:

Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Engineering or Quality preferred.

Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience in a Manufacturing/Quality function. Experience in a Job Shop environment encouraged but not mandatory.
