We are looking for a skilled Automation Quality Specialist to enhance our team. The successful candidate will have a solid foundation in software quality assurance, with advanced expertise in automation across various platforms including web, API, and mobile. Strong communication skills are essential as this role involves collaborating with diverse teams to gather automation needs, implement solutions, and propose enhancements to current automation frameworks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, maintain, and improve comprehensive test automation frameworks.
  • Employ a range of testing tools and technologies such as Cypress, REST Assured, SOAPUI, TOSCA, POSTMAN, Appium, and Selenium.
  • Ensure high standards of code quality and consistency in version control systems like GitLab / GitHub.
  • Implement Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices using Cucumber.
  • Utilize unit testing frameworks including TestNG, JUnit, and Mocha JS/Chai.
  • Integrate CI/CD & DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab, GitHub, and Azure.
  • Utilize test management solutions like JIRA, Xray, and Confluence.
  • Work with build tools including NPM, Maven, and Gradle.
  • Monitor application performance using tools like AppDynamics and New Relic.
  • Leverage Docker for setting up and managing testing environments to ensure uniform testing conditions.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines, execute tests in virtual environments, and configure notifications for test results.
  • Participate in user story refinement sessions, providing insights from a testing perspective to enhance user stories by identifying gaps or non-functional requirements.
  • Organize testing tasks during release and iteration planning phases.
  • Develop new testing Proof of Concepts (POCs) to explore innovative tools and solutions for existing testing challenges.
  • Document and uphold test cases, results, best practices, and lessons learned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum: 7 years of experience in software testing and automation.
  • Proven track record in creating and sustaining test automation frameworks.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Expertise in utilizing Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber, Xray, Grafana, Docker, GitLab, and GitHub.
  • Previous experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Strong team collaboration and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with mobile test automation tools, particularly Appium.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter, TOSCA Tricentis, and Eggplant automation.

This position is part of our Atlanta Support Center, with an expectation of being onsite a significant portion of the time.
