Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

As a Machine Design Engineer at ABI Attachments, you will be responsible for designing innovative solutions for agricultural equipment. You will work closely with suppliers and other departments to execute projects that creatively solve customers' problems with simple, robust, and effective designs.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with suppliers and other departments to design and release new product initiatives.
  • Create and manage drawings, controlling revisions and releases of current and new products.
  • Change management, including creating and updating Engineering Change Notices.
  • Develop and update Build of Materials for assigned product projects.
  • Support manufacturing by providing necessary information for task execution.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Service department to inform them of changes to products or processes.
  • Assist in identifying and executing continuous improvements for current tools.
  • Certify samples and first production runs meet quality expectations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A strong affinity for agricultural and/or equipment operation.
  • The ability to study ABI's markets and products to become an expert in our field.
  • Excellent 3D modeling skills, preferably in Creo/Pro E.
  • Experience with fluid power and DC electrical systems.
  • An affinity for and/or experience with outdoor work industries.
  • Unwavering integrity and positivity.
  • Emotional intelligence, humility, and a willingness to contribute to group goals and company needs.
  • Self-motivation, a drive to learn, and a desire to grow and develop.
  • Proficiency in using computers, mobile devices, and core office applications.
  • Advanced ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Developed problem-solving skills.

Education & Experience

Qualifications include:

  • A minimum of 3+ years of project management experience.
  • A minimum of 7+ years of experience in machinery design engineering.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with design and specification of fluid power drive and accessory systems, including mechanical design and conveyance systems.
  • Design experience with fluid power control systems involving both mechanical and electrical/electronic systems of control.

Work Environment

This role requires working in-house, lifting up to 40 pounds, standing, sitting, and viewing a screen for a full work shift. You must also be able to talk and hear to communicate with others via phone, in-person, and/or computer. Travel is less than 5%.
