Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Campus Security Manager to join our team at Spectrum Human Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facilities and staff, while also providing leadership and guidance to our security personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Provide guidance and oversight to security personnel to ensure compliance with American Correctional Association (ACA) standards and licensing requirements.
    • Develop and implement security-related policies and procedures to promote a safe and secure environment.
  • Security Operations
    • Ensure that all security operations align with ACA standards, licensing, and contractual requirements.
    • Develop and implement training programs for security personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential security threats and develop strategies to mitigate them.
    • Ensure that all security-related documentation is accurate and up-to-date, including incident reports and security protocols.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • A bachelor's degree in corrections, criminal justice, or a related field is preferred.
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in security, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience in a correctional institution or law enforcement.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Satisfactory State Police Record Check.
    • Negative T.B. test.
    • Satisfactory physical exam, including pre-employment drug screen.
    • Possess a valid and unrestricted Michigan driver's license and a safe driving record.
