Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patrols of commercial or industrial sites to deter and identify signs of unauthorized access and ensure the security of entrances, exits, and gates.
  • Monitor and authorize the entry and exit of employees, visitors, and other individuals to prevent theft and maintain a secure environment.
  • Document daily activities and any irregularities, including property damage, theft, or the presence of unauthorized individuals.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all individuals encountered while on duty, including providing assistance with directions and general information.
  • Oversee security surveillance systems and perform regular patrols to safeguard against theft and ensure a safe atmosphere.
  • Maintain accurate logs related to individuals or property, including packages.
  • Respond to incidents, including emergencies, and record pertinent data for management review.
  • Ensure secure access and egress to the facility.
  • Verify vehicle passes to confirm authorized access to the property.
  • Inspect semi-truck documentation and guide them to the appropriate entry points.
  • Understand and implement Maritime Security (Marsec) procedures.
  • Conduct inspections of vehicles in accordance with Marsec protocols.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to all parties encountered while on duty.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and a comprehensive background check.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
  • Capable of meeting the physical demands of the job, which may include lifting over 50 lbs, conducting foot patrols, navigating stairs, and working in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a security role.
  • Possession of a Concealed Pistol License.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
