Role Summary:
The ideal candidate will cater to the needs of youth in their recovery journey, as defined by them. The Recovery Coach will assist young individuals in establishing and reaching SMART goals while ensuring their engagement in available services. This role will require working at various locations, including both our main offices and external sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with external organizations that support youth.
- Conduct intake assessments and secure consent for services within our electronic health record system.
- Provide direct, hands-on assistance to individuals experiencing substance use disorders.
- Connect participants with identified services.
- Facilitate group sessions to help participants develop essential skills and social networks.
- Support participants in crafting resumes and enhancing job-seeking abilities.
- Document all interactions and services provided within the electronic health record system.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience working with individuals facing substance use and/or mental health challenges.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of community resources, including housing and medical services relevant to the target population.
- Experience in group facilitation is advantageous.
- Familiarity with the 12-step recovery model and substance abuse networks is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- A valid driver's license and a driving record that meets agency standards.
- Compliance with all necessary state licensure and certification requirements.
