Your Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the technology infrastructure that supports our extensive provider network, including daycare centers, preschools, and other family-oriented services.

Your Key Projects:

  • Design, develop, and implement features across both front-end and back-end systems;
  • Integrate with vital third-party services and APIs;
  • Ensure comprehensive automated testing for optimal uptime and product dependability;
  • Effectively communicate challenges and progress with the engineering team and cross-functional partners;
  • Modernize several legacy systems, primarily developed in Java/.NET and MySQL;
  • Expand our platform and introduce new functionalities rapidly.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in software development.
  • Ideal candidates thrive in dynamic environments.
  • Proficiency in Ruby/Rails and a willingness to explore other frameworks and technologies (e.g., Go, GitHub Actions);
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and business teams;
  • A passion for creating new products and improving existing code through testing and refactoring;
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline;
  • Preferred: Experience with Heroku/AWS, Stripe, Solr, Minitest/Capybara, GitHub Actions, Java, and Postgres is advantageous but not mandatory.

Salary Range: $150,000 to $170,000.

This salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the national salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package, which may also include annual bonuses and various benefits, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, a generous 401K matching program, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
